THESE TWO WERE BORN THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING. WE ALSO HAD TWO MORE BORN ON THANKSGIVING. WE NAMED THEM MILES, SQUANTO, PUMPKIN, AND MAYFLOWER. THE OTHER TWO BORN ARE DOLLY( BECAUSE SHE HAS A SWIRL ON HER HEAD AKA HURRICANE DOLLY) AND DOTTY(SHE HAS A DOT ON HER BACK)

Pink Grandma's 80th Birthday Party

Ava and I flew to Missouri this weekend to celebrate my Grandmother Elizabeths 80th Birthday in Poplar Bluff. Aunt Jackie and Uncle Jim drove in from Boone, NC. Grandmas birth name was Eliza Mae Alexandra (I think that is how she spelled it) but she goes by Elizabeth. I learned many facts this weekend. Nancy, Jims sister, let us use her home to hold the celebration. We all had a great time.

Ava starts kindergarten today

Ava's first day of kindergarten was today. She attends a Presbyterian school with 10 kids in her class. She goes half days which makes it easier on her. They have all the subjects of the public schools plus religion and spanish. She is so happy.

Leslie's visit to Texas

Leslie Newsom came to visit us in Texas. We had a great time. She was able to meet some of our family. Leslie and I visited with Stephanie and her kids in Spring, TX and we also took her to the Bay. We fished, boated and had fun. Ava went on her first fishing trip and caught 2 fish. Patrick and I finally bought a new SUV Expedition EL. We needed the extra room.

OUR FAMILY TRIP TO SOUTH PADRE WAS AN INTERESTING ONE. OF COURSE WE PICK THE WEEK THAT A HURRICANE WOULD HIT AND DESTROY OUR HOTEL AND CAR. IT WILL BE A VACATION NONE OF US WILL FORGET.

Visiting Cousins in Missouri

We spent the 4th of July with our family in Ironton, MO. The kids love seeing their cousins. Will and Eli are inseparable.
