State Competition in San Marcos

Emily received a 2 at state. The ratings are 1-5, so she did well for her first time. We made a weekend of it and floated the San Marcos River and went to Aquarena at the State University. The university is right on the river so there were alot of college students hanging out. It is a great town and is only 25 miles from Austin. We also visited the largest outlet mall I have ever seen. They had nice upscale shops. Patrick got a ticket on the way home and we lost money and my good sunglasses on the river, but overall it was a fun weekend.

Katherine is 18

We had Katherines 18th birthday party here at the house on May 23. Some of her friends from school joined us.

Tommy graduated

Tommy graduated from Mizzou on May 17th, 2008. Way to go!!!!!!

Brents visit

Our good friend Brent came to Texas for a visit. He is from MO. We all went to Schlitterbahn in Galveston and had a great time.

Ethan's 14th Birthday

Ethan turned 14 yesterday (May 14th) We had cake and ice cream then had to run to baseball games. His birthday present was a new Ibanez electric guitar. He takes lessons and is playing songs. He has been playing for a couple years now. Sounds good!

Academic Awards Banquet

Katherine and Emily won numerous awards at this banquet. Katherine won top 3 in her class ( She is actually number one at this time), highest GPA in chemistry, english and art, straight A honor roll and the Principal's Award. I also forgot the Accelerated Reader Award. Emily won top 3 in her class, straight A honor roll, Principal's Award, Accelerated Reader Award, and highest degree of dedication in art award. We are so proud of them.

Mothers Day 2008

Ten of us filled the pew at church on Mothers Day. Afterward, we all went to Patricia's house for lunch. She was able to be with all of her boys. The day was perfect!!
